Will I have to pay import duty?

At present, the e-commerce platform we use to run the Scale Model Scenery website does not have IOSS capabilities. It's something we hope to be able to add in the future but at present, it's not possible. So for all overseas orders, VAT will be deducted at the checkout.

You will most likely need to pay local import duty prior to delivery of your order.

As you won't have paid any sales tax on your order (VAT) it is most likely that the delivery company will contact you when your order is ready to be delivered and tell you how much local import duty you need to pay. They may also ask you to pay a handling charge. Both the amount of import duty requested and the handling charges levied are beyond our control. If you do not agree to pay the charges or wish to challenge them, you will need to take that up with your local authorities and the delivery company.
